A friend of mine post a foto on Facebook from Cascata de Anços – Sintra, and I found the landscape so beautiful that I had to go find out where it was. It was really worth it, and I can tell you the photos doens’t show the real beauty of the waterfall. It’s not easy to find her neither is the road to get there. But that’s a good thing, this way the place is more protected from the human hand. It is great for an outdoor walk. When I searched about the waterfall I discovered that it was part of the generic scenario of the soap opera “Jardins Proibidos” – which went live on tv back in the year of 2000 on TVI.

The landscape of the waterfall, changes a lot throughout the 4 seasons. We went now in winter, but I learned that the ideal, to see all the splendor of the waterfall, is to go during the spring. I guess I just got an excuse to come back!

With due differences, I was surprised to find a kind of mini Gerês just outside Lisbon.

If you do not know Portugal, Gerês is a wonderful area of Portugal, north of Lisbon, characterized by breathtaking landscapes! A true paradise offered by Mother Nature!

Um amigo meu colocou uma foto no facebook da Cascata de Anços, em Sintra e achei aquela paisagem tão linda que tive que ir descobrir onde é que ficava.
Valeu muito a pena e digo que as fotos não fazem jus à beleza da cascata. Não é fácil de descobri-la e o caminho para lá chegar também não. Mas ainda bem que assim é, pois
ajuda a preservar o local. É ótimo para uma caminhada ao ar livre.
Só quando fui pesquisar sobre a cascata é que descobri que fez parte do cenário do genérico da novela “Jardins Proibidos” – novela passada na TVI em 2000. A paisagem da cascata, muda muito ao longo das 4 estações do ano. Fomos agora no Inverno, mas, fiquei a saber, que o ideal, para ver todo o esplendor da cascata, é ir durante a Primavera.
Bem, tenho que lá voltar para confirmar esta afirmação!
Com as devidas diferenças, fiquei surpreendida por encontrar uma espécie de mini Gerês mesmo às portas de Lisboa.
