Lonely Planet, one of the biggest publishers of world travel guides, elected 5 cities to discover in 2018.

1º – Seville, Spain – The city as suffered deep changes in the past 10 years, mainly about the traffic which used to be chaotic. Nowadays you can call it a city of bicycles. It is, as well, one of the backgrounds of Games of Thrones, so it is very appealing to the thousands of followers of the show. All this metamorphosis of the city and its landscapes and historical glories, did not go unnoticed by the publisher, making Seville the first choice on the list.

2º – Detroit, EUA – After decades of negligence, Detroit is reborning with power. Thanks to the young entrepreneurs, the shops and buildings, once vandalized, closed and abandoned came to life. The state created incentives to public works, all over the city. It’s great to see the city changing everyday, for better!

3º – Canberra, Australia – It’s not one of the cities we will remember at first when thinking about Australia, it is a little town with big potential. It has national treasures in almost every corner and recently and have recently emerge several luxury boutiques, highlighting gastronomy and cultural attractions. At the end of 2018 there will be a 100th anniversary ceremony of the World War II Amistad.

4º – Hamburg, Germany – After years of waiting, Eldphilarmonie Concert Hall is ready and the city ready to welcome all those who want to see! From here, the accessible and seductive city of Hamburg radiates along the Alba River and its harbor. The nightlife in this city is considered one of the best in Europe.

5º – Kaohsiung, Taiwan – A hundred thousand square meter musical complex is the highlight of the pleasant port of Kaohsiung. Here you can see, as well, a beautiful cruise terminal. Going into the countryside, at the Xiaogang Shan trail, you will see, in a 27 meters long, the strait of Taiwan. Kaohsiung is boiling and you should go now, before the entire world discovers it!

A Lonely Planet, uma das maiores editoras de guias de viagens do mundo, elegeu 5 cidades para conhecermos em 2018.

1º Sevilha, Espanha – A cidade sofreu grandes alterações nos últimos 10 anos, relativamente ao trânsito na cidade – que era caótico – actualmente uma cidade virada para as bicicletas. É também uma cidade que exibe as suas paisagens na série de renome mundial Game of Thrones. Toda esta metamorfose da cidade e as suas paisagens e glórias históricas, não passou despercebida à editora, fazendo de Sevilha a primeira escolha da lista.

2º Detroit, EUA – Após décadas de negligência, Detroit está a renascer e com toda a força. Graças a jovens empreendedores, as  lojas, outrora vandalizadas e fechadas e os prédios abandonados, ganharam vida, fazendo mesmo com que o Estado tenha criado incentivos para novas obras públicas em toda a cidade. Ótimo para ver “em primeira mão” a cidade a transformar-se a olhos vistos.

3º Camberra, Austrália – Não é das cidades que nos lembramos logo à partida de visitarmos, mas é uma pequena cidade com grande potencial. Tem tesouros nacionais em quase todos os cantos e recentemente tem surgido várias lojas de luxo com destaque para a gastronomia e atracções culturais. No final de 2018 haverá uma cerimonia de aniversário dos 100 anos do Amistício da Segunda Guerra Mundial.

4º Hamburgo, Alemanha – Ao fim de anos de espera, Eldphilarmonie Concert Hall está pronto e a cidade pronta para receber todos os que queriam ver! Daqui, a acessível e sedutora cidade de Hamburgo irradia ao longo do Rio Alba e seu porto. A vida noturna nesta cidade é considerada uma das melhores da Europa.

5º Kaohsiung, Taiwan – Um complexo musical de cem mil metros quadrados é o ponto alto do agradável porto de Kaohsiung, onde há também um espectacular terminal de cruzeiros. Mais para o interior, na trilha de Xiaogang Shan, pode-se avistar, numa passerelle com 27 metros, o Estreito de Taiwan. Kaohsiung está a fervilhar e é melhor visitar já, antes que o Mundo a descubra.
